samuelPastor Samuel Sarpiya

Co-Founder, Rockford Community Church in Rockford Illinois, USA.

Previously served as a missionary with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), University of the Nations, and Urban Frontiers Mission. At YWAM, Samuel served as a Discipleship Training School Leader, School leader, Humanities and Science A Christian Perspective School, Community Development Program Coordinator, Computer System Administrator and Delegate to the United Nation’s on the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), as well as to the United Nations Council on Indigenous Peoples Affairs.

With Urban Frontiers Mission, Samuel served as Evangelism and Missions Director, helping pioneer different urban ministries in Nigeria and throughout West Africa. Samuel is a Nigerian-born South African national. Samuel and Gretchen have three girls: Anna, Ella Joy, and Deborah.

Samuel’s passion is to see conflicts resolved and life’s transformed. I am always looking every day and everywhere to see Jesus at work to join Him.



Gretchen Sarpiya

Co-Founder, Rockford Community Church, Gretchen has led discipleship training schools and has helped to develop community schools at Youth With a Mission. She has worked with children who are affected by HIV/Aids and has taken outreach teams to South Central Africa, as well as to other countries that cannot be mentioned. Gretchen was born in South Africa. Together, Samuel and Gretchen are the Lead Pastors of Rockford Community Church. They have three girls: Anna, Ella Joy, and Deborah.

Renee Kelley – Treasurer

Renee works with youth in Sunday School and has experience leading Vacation Bible School. She enjoys the outdoors and being creative. Michael and Renee have three children; Wesley, Austin, and Reagan. Members of Rockford Community Church since 2011.

 

 


Kevin “Gus” Hall

RCC Director of Outreach Ministries, Gus Hall has been Assisting Pastor Samuel and Pastor Mike for many years in both the pulpit and abroad. Rockford Community Church has an outreach called “The Center for Nonviolence & Conflict Transformation” or “CNCT”; which is a 5013C Nonprofit based at and operating at RCC.
 
 
As the Director of Operations for CNCT, Gus wears many hats and performs many Community Services in the City of Rockford, Illinois. From involvement with the Rockford Area Boys and Girls Clubs, The Booker Washington Center (AARC) “African American Resource Center”, working with Juveniles and “At risk” youth at the Rockford Police Department, and appearing at many city-wide events with our Two Mobile Learning Labs, Chaplain Gus brings the hands of Jesus to the Community of Rockford, IL.
 
NURSING HOME MINISTRY
Chaplain Gus also serves as the House Chaplain At Amberwood Care Centre; a nearby Nursing Home facilitating two Weekly Church Services for those who call Amberwood “Their Home”!
